The Standards and Technical Advisory Committee (STAC) is composed of representatives of member organisations from the Casualty Recorders Network. Members are selected on the basis of particular expertise, with attention to ensuring equitable geographical representation.
The role of the STAC is:
- To provide technical advice on the theory and practice of casualty recording to fellow members of the Casualty Recorders Network.
- To assess Network members’ conformity with the Standards for Casualty Recording.
The STAC was created by Every Casualty Counts in 2026 to formalise and provide greater structure to the peer support and capacity-sharing activities which have been a defining feature of the Casualty Recorders Network since it was first established. Their work is an extension and amplification of the Conformance Studies published in 2020.
