TGHAT* aims to serve as a platform to chronicle and document the human rights abuses against the Tigrayan people in Ethiopia. TGHAT records civilian casualties to commemorate the victims and to bring awareness and visibility to the experiences of civilians who have been affected by the war on Tigray. The organisation uses this information for advocacy for recognition, reparation, and accountability and justice to create an accurate record that can be used for further research and education.
*Tghat is a transliteration of the Tigrinya noun ትግሃት, which means commitment (or dedication) for a work or a cause.
