CRASH is a research and training laboratory based in N’Djamena, Chad. It is a non-profit and independent association, created in 2005. Researchers from CRASH feed into the MCV-T (the Monitoring of Conflicts and Violence in Chad) – a scientific platform whose objective is to monitor, record and analyse community conflicts and violence in Chad and elsewhere.
It aims to provide researchers, political decision-makers and Chad’s technical and financial partners with a database on inter or intra-community conflicts and violence linked to the management of land, grazing and water points. One of the objectives of the MCV-T is to help policy makers and international partners, through analysis and bi-annual reports with recommendations, to reorient their actions and activities in order to find appropriate and local solutions to conflicts that plunge entire families into mourning.
