Statement to HRC55 on the importance of disaggregated casualty records for implementing the Colombian peace agreement

Every Casualty Counts and Casualty Recorders Network member Campana Colombiana Contra Minas participated in the dialogue with the International Expert on Colombia, concerning her report on obstacles to implementation of the 2016 peace agreement. We raised concerns about the lack of ethnic disaggregation of official victim records, which prevents the needs of minority ethnic victims of the armed conflict from receiving proper recognition and restitution.
