Forensic anthropology and casualty recording in Guatemala: Interview with Fredy Peccerelli

Fredy Peccerelli is a forensic anthropologist and Director of the Forensic Anthropology Foundation of Guatemala (FAFG). In this video, Fredy describes FAFG’s work to identify and analyse the remains of people who went missing during the decades-long conflict in Guatemala. He describes the context of the work, its challenges and rewards, and its contribution to criminal proceedings relating to events during the conflict.

This interview was recorded at the first international casualty recorders’ conference, held in London in 2011. The conference was organised by the Every Casualty programme of the Oxford Research Group.
