The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) was established in 1997 to monitor human rights violations across Lebanon and the wider region. Later, CLDH chose to concentrate its efforts exclusively on human rights issues in Lebanon, where it could have a more direct impact. The organisation monitors and documents human rights violations, advocates for accountability and provides legal assistance to victims. Since 2019, its work has included recording casualties of armed violence, enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in Lebanon.
